My story, "Thicker Than Water", is in this volume!
Jude may have been turning into a nix, but he was a Pelletier first – trained from the cradle with witch in his blood. Loyalty was born and bred into their bones from their first breath. When that nix spilled its venom into his bloodstream, that didn’t change; it just narrowed Jude’s focus more sharply to where it had always been rooted. Pelletiers first, only and always, which left his little brother as his chosen prey.

A former bart grants Janson an apprenticeship and a chance to escape the dangers of being a Hood. There he meets Owein, a charming young man with secrets of his own.
When Janson is forced to brave the dark to save his sister, he finds the creature of legend that has been terrifying the community for so long. Instead of certain death, the creature woos Janson with gifts, protecting him when those from the everyday world get too aggressive. Janson never expected to have one suitor, much less two, though neither of them are without their flaws. The question is, which one will have his back when he becomes the hunted?
